The researchers demonstrated the vulnerability by creating a forged certificate, which was then accepted as valid by various applications and systems that utilize wolfSSL. This highlights the severity of the issue and the potential consequences if exploited.

WolfSSL developers have acknowledged the vulnerability and released an update to fix the flaw. Users are advised to upgrade their wolfSSL library to the latest version (3.16.0) or use a secure patch to prevent exploitation.
